Gorse, Furze, Whin. The well known small prickly evergreen shrub from Western Europe, growing to 1.5 m (5 ft) high, with bright yellow flowers at almost any time of the year. A good nitrogen-fixing legume species, which needs sun and a well-drained soil; hardy to -20°C. Stratification: SC. Number of seeds: 50.
