The seeds are edible after cooking and soaking to remove toxins (used any way that cooked beans are); the young seedpods are also edible cooked & soaked. An excellent nitrogen-fixing legume which also accumulates other minerals. Leaves and flowering stems are used for dyeing and bees love the flowers.
