Big Golden Star is a variety bred for fruit production, which bears masses of dark red fruits, 25 mm (1”) across, which are eaten usually cooked. Also used for reforestation on sandy soils. Grows in any reasonable soil in sun or part shade; hardy to -20ºC. A grafted plant.
