Groundcover Raspberry Rubus nepalensis

Nepalese raspberry. Another non-thorny creeping Rubus species, this one from the Himalayas, growing only 20 cm (8”) high. Evergreen in mild winters, otherwise deciduous, though only hardy to about -12°C in the open; best planted as an understorey shrublet beneath trees and shrubs, where it will thrive and form a ground cover. As well as providing ground cover, it produces very nice edible berries which can also be used for dyeing. Well drained soil and shade. 0.5L pot.
