Factsheet S45: Urtica dioica – the nettle.

£1.00

Stinging nettles need little in the way of introduction to most folk, as they are widespread in most parts of the world, though native to Europe and Asia, and are usually regarded as weeds. ‘Urtica’ derives from the Latin, to burn; ‘nettle’ is thought to derive from the old Anglo-Saxon or Dutch word for needle.
