They are known by a large number of common names, including Serviceberry, Juneberry, Snowy mespilus, Shadblow, Sarvis, Sarvisberry, Maycherry, Shadbush, Shadberry, Shadblossom, Shadflower, Sugar Pear, Wild Pear, Lancewood, Boxwood, Canadian Medlar and Saskatoon.
