Like others of this family, it bears aromatic fruits which are very large – 10-15 cm (4-6”) long – and can be eaten cooked (they make a good lemony jelly). The fruits are freely produced in Britain and ripen in warm summers. Also a bee plant. Hardy to about -20ºC. Stratification: CS13. Number of seeds: 10.
