Cooking apple. Pick Aug-Sept, use Aug-Nov. Flower group B. Fruit large, conical; flesh juicy, soft, cooked to a puree. Tree compact, low vigour, good cropper, ornamental flower. Self-fertile. M27 is a dwarfing rootstock giving trees about 1.5-2 m (5-6½ ft) high.
