We are a carbon-negative organisation – we store more carbon on our land sites than we produce

Location

The symposium takes place in South Devon, in the South West of England. This beautiful part of England has one of the mildest climates in the country (USDA Zone 9, RHS H3/4), and South Devon is characterised by rolling hills and secret wooded valleys and a mixture of fields and woodland.

Dartington is a village about 2km from the small town of Totnes. Dartington Hall is situated outside of Dartington and Totnes, in the grounds of the Dartington Estate which is bordered by a loop of the River Dart.

Totnes is a thriving small town with shops, lots of cafes, restaurants and pubs and a thriving alternative scene, being somewhat of an eco-hub and the first Transition Town. The town is the administrative town  of the South Hams, a particularly beautiful part of Devon renowned for its beaches, landscape, food and alternative scene. For more information about Totnes and what’s on see Visit Totnes and the Totnes Pulse site. For a list of our favourite places in Totnes see here.
