The Agroforestry Research Trust

is a non-profit making charity, registered in England, which researches and educates about agroforestry and perennial crops. We do practical research on our trial grounds, run courses, publish guides, and sell plants, seeds and books. We are a carbon-negative organisation - we store more carbon on our land sites than we produce from all our activities.

Our courses in Devon have now all become hybrid, still with some content in Devon (outside at our sites) but now with additional online content. Hybrid courses give participants extra flexibility and hopefully remove some of the uncertainties about the future course of the pandemic.

The UK’s first, accredited course in Forest Gardening!

We have teamed up with The Orchard Project who are offering a digital course which features our videos, along with online group tutorials, handouts and continuous assessment.

Topics covered will include planting choices, growing edible fungi, managing soil types and fertility, the role of mycorrhizal fungi, propagation, maintenance and more. More details can be found here.
